Exploration, Nurture & Growth
We believe that our spacious environment allows our children to explore in open spaces and gives them the opportunity to take risks.
Children have the chance to discover through meaningful interactions with teachers, children and nature in a safe, nurturing & fun environment.
We know that wonder is a familiar human emotion and our environment allows for children to be curious and delighted by the natural wonders of the world around us.
Our Centre
Our centre is situated in a lovely rural location with lots of room for children to engage in a range of fun, stimulating learning experiences. We have plenty of grass, natural trees and gardens, an orchard where we harvest fruit and animals including a rabbit, turtles, chickens plus other neighbouring animals.
WINZ subsidies
There are additional subsidies available to help families with the cost of childcare. Click below to read more about it on the Ministry of Social Development, Ministry of Education and WINZ websites, or feel free to contact us, we are more than happy to help guide you through this process.
20 Hours ECE
The Government funds the cost of children aged 3 years and over to attend early childhood education (ECE)
for up to 20 hours a week.
This funding is called 20 Hours ECE and is available for up to six hours a day for children in approved programmes, like our centre.
Opening hours
Our centre hours are 7:30am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday year round.
Our centre is closed on all public/statutory holidays.
Learning Through Play
"Scientists have determined that it takes approximately 400 repetitions to create a new synapse in the brain - unless it is done with play, in which case it takes between 10 and 20 repetitions."
